Your Score May Be Rated Worse Thank You Think

When the credit bureaus moved the top score to 990, you were not automatically moved up. For example, if your score was 720 before the change, you had what was considered by lenders to be 'A' rated paper. After the change that same score was rated as a 'C' rating.

Most lenders are still making claims that a score of 680 will get funding for a home. The model that lenders use has also increased. A model is a risk factoring to determine whether the loan will be paid back. Previously lenders used a score of 50 pts below what your actual score was. Now that score is 150 pts lower than your real score.
